Club Rules
Welcome to the Birmingham Schutzhund Club, all new members and visitors are required to read and agree to abide by Club Rules. The rules will be developed as the club progresses to ensure the smooth running of the Club and the safety of all attending.
- Health & Safety of dogs and people is paramount and should be considered at all times.
- Children to be under parental supervision.
- No cruelty to dogs will be tolerated.
- All dogs to be kept under control at all times.
- All dogs to be kept secure when in vehicles with suitable ventilation.
- Please be courteous to all members and visitors.
- On arrival add your name to the protection training order list.
- Several dog/handler teams can be on the field training at the same time for obedience training session, safety permitting.
- No protection training to take place until obedience and control levels achieved, and assessed by Head Trainer.
- Ensure that you are ready to start your training when the previous dog/handler has finished their protection training.
- Whilst a dog is undertaking protection training, all other dogs to be kept on a lead unless instructed otherwise by Head Trainer.
- Any training methods or new ideas will be considered.
- Please discuss any concerns or issues with the Head Trainer or a Committee Member immediately that matters can be resolved swiftly and effectively, don't let matters fester!
- All Club Members to be actively involved in running the club.
- All Club Members have a say in the running of the Club. The Club Committee will act upon all matters. The Chairman has the final decision.
- Clean up your rubbish.
- Clean up your own dog mess both on and off the training field.
