White Rose Trial 29th & 30th July 2006
Sunday morning 6.30am, 5 friends set out on the journey to the
Leeds area, we
are visiting the White Rose Schutzhund Club to give our support to another
friend of ours.
He is continuing on a journey that is already a lot longer than ours, our friend
has been involved in breeding working GSD's from his own imported lines for
quite a while, yet he has a yearning for more from the sport than most breeders.
He wants to compete.
He is the first to admit he has a lot to learn on the competition field, but
learn he will, and he will learn quickly.
He has bred GSD's for work and sport for various people, today some of his pups
are now in sport and working police homes. His bitch Queenie v d Sagmule
SCH3 is a tough bitch, bred from generations of working German bloodlines. Today
we are going to see her new partner at the White Rose Schutzhund Club trial, the German bred
Elliot vom Wellintali SCH3.
Today will be Eric and Elliots day.
TRACKING - SCORE 72
This was Elliots 1st competitive track on grass as he has only ever tracked on
dirt prior to this, although on this day the tracking conditions were very tough
for the competitors.
OBEDIENCE - SCORE 86
The obedience round had some handler errors and with the large crowd watching, you could feel the nerves in the air.
PROTECTION - SCORE 98
The protection round showed everyone what Elliot is all about. Eric
made 2 small handler errors, Elliot made none.
The bites were full and calm.
The outs were perfect.
The fight in Elliot was immense.
Today WAS Eric and Elliots day.
